Arrive Mumbai
Welcome to India! On arrival at Mumbai Airport, you will be greeted by our guide in the arrival hall, who will escort you to your hotel and assist you in check-in. Spend the day at leisure. Mumbai is the entertainment capital, the fashion and financial epicenter of India. Famous for its street food, Mumbai is also known widely for its multi-cuisine restaurants and premier night clubs. The cosmopolitan metropolis also gives an insight into the contrasts of Incredible India, where if you go by appearances you will miss the story. The city houses the world’s most expensive private residential property and it is also home to one of Asia’s largest slums – Dharavi, which is despite appearances one of the most successful micro-industry examples in the country. No other city demonstrates the indomitable human spirit as Mumbai. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 2

Mumbai
Start with a visit to Gateway of India. It’s an Indo-Saracenic structure built to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary in India. Next to the Gateway of India nestles the famous landmark of the city, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel that has hosted many notable guests, including the U.S. President Barack Obama. From the Gateway of India take the ferry and embark on a cruise trip to Elephanta Island to discover the ancient caves dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Buddha. Later, drive past the many art deco buildings of Fort Mumbai on your way to Church Gate to see the famous Dabbawallas, and then past other famous landmarks to reach Dhobi Ghat – the world’s largest outdoor laundry and another example of local ingenuity. In the evening, go on a spectacular drive at Marine Drive or “Queen’s Necklace”. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 3

Mumbai – Udaipur
You fly to Udaipur today, the “Venice of the East”. It also is globally renowned for its rich history, picturesque landscape and Rajput-era palaces. Udaipur is 750 km from Mumbai. On arrival in Udaipur, check-in at hotel. The gleaming Lake Pichola, the fabulous palaces, havelis, temples and bustling markets with the majestic Aravalli Hillls in the backdrop, make Udaipur a royal romantic destination. This evening, enjoy a private boat ride of Lake Pichola on a traditional shikara. Soak up the glowing Rajasthani sunset with canapés and watch the stars appear. The lake comes to life with the lights mirrored in the rippling waves. The Panorama of Jag Niwas and the Lake Palace are a visual treat. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 4

Udaipur
Embark on a sightseeing tour in and around Udaipur. Start with a visit to the City Palace. The royal abode of Maharanas of erstwhile, the palace displays an elaborate and flamboyant style which combines both the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural design. Strategically placed on a hill top, the palace gives an impressive view of Udaipur and its beautiful sites such as the Lake Pichola, the Jag Mandir, the Monsoon Palace and Neemach Mata Temple. Also visit Jagmandir Island, Ahar (Udaipur’s royal cremation ground), Shilpgram (a crafts village) and Sajjan Garh (Monsoon Palace). Spend the afternoon strolling through the charming Old City and discovering arts and crafts that are being practiced by the local businessmen for generations. In the evening, take an excursion to Eklingi and Nagda Temples timing your arrival with the evening aarti. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 5

Udaipur – Jaipur
After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to Jaipur by road, 400 km (approximately seven hours) away. This is a six lane highway and the drive is long but comfortable. Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is a fascinating city that has a lot of history and proudly showcases its architectural marvels, secular traditions, mouthwatering cuisine, and colourful and bustling bazaars. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the year 1727, Jaipur is the first planned city of India. Jaipur is famously called the “Pink City” of India as the city was painted pink to commemorate the visit of Prince of Wales in 1876. Many of its avenues remain painted in pink even today, giving the city a distinctive appearance. On arrival in Jaipur, check-in at hotel and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 6

Jaipur
Start the day with an excursion to the Amer Fort. Perched on a hill in the suburbs of Jaipur, the fort was once the capital of Rajasthan. Former residence of Rajput Maharajas, the fort is notable for its grand architecture showcasing Hindu style of art. Later, explore the City Palace complex that is comprised of two palaces, Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal, a museum, a vast array of courtyards, gardens and buildings. The palace is a blend of the Shilpa Shastra of Indian architecture with Rajput, Mughal and European styles. Diwan-I-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), Bhaggi Khana (a museum), Pitam Niwaa gate and Peacock Gate are a must-see. Other places to visit include Hawa Mahal (Palace of Wind), Jal Mahal (Water Palace), and Jantar Mantar (an observatory). Make sure to spend some time in the charming markets of the Old City. Day 7

Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
Today drive to Agra, 240 km (approximately five hours) away, the home of the icon of eternal love, Taj Mahal. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing the grandeur of Mughal architecture, and well worth the time. This magnificent fortified ancient city, 40km west of Agra, was the short-lived capital of the Mughal Empire between 1571 and 1585, during the reign of Emperor Akbar. Akbar visited the village of Sikri to consult the Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chishti, who predicted the birth of an heir to the Mughal throne. When the prophecy came true, Akbar built his new capital here, including a stunning mosque – still in use today – and three palaces for each of his favourite wives, one a Hindu, one a Muslim and one a Christian (though Hindu villagers in Sikri dispute these claims). The city was an Indo-Islamic masterpiece, but built in an area that supposedly suffered from water shortages and so was abandoned shortly after Akbar’s death. On arrival in Agra, check-in at hotel. Day 8

Agra
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Agra. Discover the iconic marble mausoleum surrounded by picturesque gardens, the Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, Taj Mahal is described as a “teardrop on the cheek of eternity”. Afterwards, visit the legendary Agra Fort. Also called the Red Fort of Agra, the crescent shaped fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Showcasing the splendid Mughal architecture, the fort houses some notable buildings such as Moti Masjid, Jahangir's Palace, Sh?sh Mahal, and Musamman Burj. Looking towards the Taj Mahal over the Yamuna River from the ramparts of Agra Fort is mesmerizing. Also, take a visit to Shilpgram. Exhibiting the art and culture of City of Taj, Shilpgram brings together the artisans and craftsmen specialized in making of handicrafts in traditional way under a single roof. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 9

Agra – Delhi
After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to Delhi, 240 km (approximately four hours) away. En route, stop at Sikandra to visit the Tomb of Akbar the Great. The tomb of the great emperor is an architectural marvel showcasing the splendid Mughal architectural style. Construction of the tomb was commenced by Akbar himself and was completed after his death by his son, Jahangir. The four white marble minarets at entrance of the tomb from the South gate are similar to those of the Taj Mahal. On arrival in Delhi, check-in at hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 10

Delhi
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Delhi. The tour starts with exploring the historical attractions of Old Delhi. Discover the iconic Red Fort spread over an area of 2 km, travel around the bustling market of Chandni Chowk, and visit India’s largest mosque, Jama Masjid. Savour the authentic Mughlai cuisine, an integral part of Indian cuisine. Also, visit Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi's cremation site memorial. Later, proceed to Qutb Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses the world’s tallest brick minaret – Qutab Minar. Then, visit Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first garden-tomb in India which was the inspiration for the Taj Mahal. Later, discover Imperial New Delhi showcasing spacious, tree-lined boulevards and noteworthy buildings. Notable attractions include Connaught Place (CP), the Presidential Palace and India Gate. Day 11

Delhi – Chandigarh – Mashobra
After exploring the bustling cities of India, it’s time to rejuvenate for a few days in tranquillity at the picturesque hill resorts of Himachal Pradesh. The day takes you to Mashobra, a beautiful hill station with stunning views, located in the fringes of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Board a flight to Chandigarh from Delhi airport followed by drive of 130 km (approximately two hours) to reach your next destination, Mashobra. On arrival in Mashobra, check-in at hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Away from the chaotic city life, enjoy the evening in the lap of nature soaking up the breathtaking beauty of snow covered mountains. Revitalize with nature walks, rejuvenate with an Ayurvedic massage or simply refresh with hot tea and snacks! Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 12

Mashobra
Start your day with a leisure walk or cycling on the natural trails of Mashobra. Later trek (or drive) to Craignano, a picnic spot located at a height of around 7700 ft above sea level. It is renowned for a beautiful Italian villa made of wood and situated on a huge hillock, in the midst of oak and pine trees, and surrounded by small streams. The beautiful villa is named after the Craignano town in Italy. The spacious lawns, stone benches and night lamps are reminiscent of the colonial period. Craignano is not just a picnic spot but also home to the world's highest water lift. Dating back to colonial period, the lift supplies water to Shimla and its adjoining areas. Popular activities here include rappelling, rock climbing and fishing. Return by evening. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 13

Mashobra – Kufri – Shimla
After breakfast, check-out from hotel and a short scenic drive brings you to Kufri, 8 km from Mashobra. Kufri is one of the most famous hill stations in Himachal Pradesh that attracts many tourists when it snows. On arrival in Kufri, go on a sightseeing tour of the city that takes you to the famous tourist spots locally and in Fagu Valley. At Indira Tourist Park, try the traditional Himachali clothes and take some pictures with the mighty Himalayas in the backdrop. Mahasu Peak offering the breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges is another attraction. Also, visit Kufri Fun World, an amusement park with world’s highest go-kart track. Later, drive to Shimla, 20 km from Kufri. On arrival in Shimla, check-in at hotel. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 14

Shimla
The day is reserved to explore Shimla, the Queen of Hills. At the time of British Raj, Shimla used to be the summer capital of India. The picturesque hill station is surrounded by pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. The Mall Road is the soul of Shimla. It is the main shopping arcade with a number of restaurants, clubs and bars. Walk around the Mall and reach the Ridge where the Christ Church is situated. The majestic church has stained glass windows which represent faith, hope, charity, fortitude, patience and humility. Also, visit the Jakku Hill offering a panoramic aerial view of Shimla from its top. On the top of the hill is a Hanuman Temple, which is home to countless monkeys. Other tourist attractions in Shimla are Annandale (a picnic spot), Shimla State Museum and Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 15

Shimla – Chandigarh
After breakfast, check out of hotel and drive to Chandigarh, 115 km away (approximately two hours). On arrival in Chandigarh, check-in at hotel and later proceed for a sightseeing tour. Renowned worldwide for its urban design and architecture, Chandigarh has a variety of tourist attractions including theme gardens. Rock Garden or Nek Chand Rock Garden is an incredible sculpture garden complex which is comprised of interlinked courtyards dotted with sculptures made of residential and industrial waste. Walk around the garden that sprawls over 40 acres of land. Also, explore the Rose Garden considered to be one of the greatest of its kind in Asia. The garden spreads over 30 acres and houses around 825 types of roses along with a huge variety of other medicinal plants. Later, visit Sukhna Lake, an artificial lake that has the Garden of Silence within it. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 16

Chandigarh – Delhi
Today you depart from Chandigarh. Check-out of hotel and drive to Chandigarh airport to board your flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, check-in at hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure and you can enjoy some last minute shopping in the local markets or just relax in your hotel enjoying its facilities. Another option is to visit Kingdom of Dreams in the evening. It is India’s first live entertainment leisure destination. Sprawling over six acres of land, Kingdom of Dreams is a miniature of India that brings Indian culture and its artistic and culinary heritages under a single roof. Its palatial structure has been stupendously constructed with spectacular designs and architecture. The kingdom encompasses a “Cultural Gully” (a cultural boulevard), and two theatres, Nautanki Mahal and Showshaa Theater as major attractions. Overnight, stay at hotel.

Day 17

Depart Delhi
Today your India travel comes to an end. We arrange your drop to Delhi Airport, from where you will board your flight back home. If required, our representative will be at hand to assist you with a smooth check-out from the hotel and escort you to the airport. We advise you to arrive at the airport at least 3 hrs prior to departure and keep your passport and printout of airline ticket handy to avoid last minute hassles.
