Le Passage Travel Foundation – A heart of gold
“Miles away on a shining coast; I see a little ray of hope;
A twinkle in my eye, I walk a mile; Just to get closer to one smile”
As a leading destination management company, Le Passage to India recognises its mandate and responsibility of positively impacting living standards and alleviating poverty in the environment it operates in. By contributing to the context, which is vital to its long-term viability, Le Passage to India is determined to shape a better future for all by also acting as a bridge between its travel partners in India and abroad. This strong determination led to the birth of Le Passage Travel Foundation.
Le Passage to India takes pride in being the only Indian travel conglomerate with a Foundation solely dedicated to CSR. Created in 2010, Le Passage Travel Foundation aka Shaping Lives, has over 30 grass root level empanelled NGOs, spread across various Indian travel destinations.
The foundation’s focus is to bring smiles to less privileged children ranging from marginalised to cerebral/multiple disorders to HIV to visually challenged. The foundation also looks after the old, destitute and animals.
It encourages and facilitates rural experiences and becomes a part of an itinerary. The CSR initiatives range from short one-two hour visits to long duration volunteer work individually or in groups depending upon client preferences and time availability.
The Foundation is focused on saving environment and in promoting sustainable development, to help create positive impact and directly affect local communities.
Every initiative that the company undertakes originates from their belief in empowering individuals and communities to create skill sets that enhance their quality of life. The wellspring of the vision is the core belief and understanding that sustainability of communities, culture and the environment is key to company’s long-term success.
While Shaping Lives facilitates good ‘soul’ experiences, it undertakes philanthropic activities from its own resources as well. It supports education of 16 special and four normal marginalised children, donates limbs annually via the renowned Jaipur Artificial Limb Centre, supports medical costs of needy children, and many other such initiatives.
Utilising its extensive business base in the travel industry, it has undertaken two flights of fantasy events, where children from our supported charities were on a ‘dream’ experience of air travel.
The most recent one was in March 2014, where 55 children were given an experience of a lifetime. This is but a small example of resource utilisation, but to these children it is a dream realised, an experience that they will carry with joy in their lifetime.
Our aim:
- Empowering stakeholders across the board
- Enabling communities to create sustainable opportunities
- Ensuring long term associative benefits
- Encouraging actions that minimise negative impact and maximise positive impact.
At Le Passage Travel Foundation, we believe that our nation is our responsibility and that children are the future of this nation. And our every action should work towards the ultimate goal of Shaping Lives for the better.

It was a nice experience....
